According to a 2016 World Bank report, the South Asia region produces 5.3% of the scholarly output worldwide. However, studies indicate that access to and sharing of research data is limited in this region, majorly due to the lack of awareness of open research data practices, policies, infrastructure, data governance, and legal frameworks for data sharing. To address and facilitate the open research data sharing in this region, we invite ideas addressing development of a toolkit to facilitate research data sharing and an open research data sharing framework among the South Asian countries.
This is an online event and registration and submission of ideas is free of cost. All entries would be reviewed by a jury and top three entries would be given prizes. All participants would be given e-certificates for participation.
